ROSHI was founded as a financial comparison platform in Singapore, where our founder experimented with different business models including an early home loan marketplace.

Our name, inspired by "Rōshi" (老師 / ろうし), meaning "old teacher" or "old master" in Japanese (Lǎoshī in Chinese), reflects our commitment to helping our customers master their loan decisions with wisdom and confidence.

We officially incorporated ROSHI Pte Ltd and launched our home loan marketplace, enabling borrowers to submit applications and receive personalised home loan offers.
We introduced our personal loan matching platform, giving Singaporean borrowers a fast, secure and simple way to access consumer lending options.
We grew our offerings to include business lending, helping entrepreneurs and business owners to connect with a range of financing options.
ROSHI was born from the real experiences of two sons of immigrant parents from Belgium and Austria who grew up understanding the struggles of lending exclusion firsthand. Having faced the challenges of financial access in their families, our founders transformed these early life lessons into ROSHI with the mission to make borrowing accessible and rewarding for everyone.
